Hopfenrebell is not a traditional beer garden, but a modern brewery with its own taproom, creative pizza kitchen and an extensive whisky selection. Our beers are brewed directly in Bad Staffelstein – handcrafted, creative and with a regularly changing range.
Our selection includes everything that makes beer exciting: Franconian classics such as Helles, Dunkel and Pilsner, modern beer styles including IPA, NEIPA and Triple IPA, as well as experimental brewing specialties. Our own beers are complemented by a carefully selected range of international craft beers.
To help guests find the beer that suits them best, Hopfenrebell uses three categories: Traditional for classic beer styles, Explorer for hop-forward and international beers, and Advanced for unusual creations beyond the standard range.
Hopfenrebell also takes its own approach to food. Our kitchen serves modern taproom cuisine, including creative pizzas, tarte flambée, starters and burgers. The pizza dough is made with brewer’s yeast, creating a direct connection between the kitchen and the brewery.
The experience is completed by a regularly changing selection of beers on tap, international craft beers, more than 100 carefully selected whiskies, tastings, brewery tours and events.
Hopfenrebell is the perfect place for anyone who wants to discover beer in a new way: craft beer, pizza, whisky and modern brewing culture – served directly at the brewery.

From the A73 motorway, take the Bad Staffelstein Mitte/Wattendorf exit – not the Kurzentrum/Therme exit.
Continue towards Bad Staffelstein. At the Äußerer Frankenring roundabout, take the exit towards Kurzentrum. At the next junction, turn right into Pferdsfelder Weg.
You will find us directly on the corner of Äußerer Frankenring and Pferdsfelder Weg, at number 72.
Take the train to Bad Staffelstein railway station. From there, it is approximately 2 kilometres, or around a 25-minute walk, to Hopfenrebell.
Follow the route towards Äußerer Frankenring/Pferdsfelder Weg. You will find us directly on the corner of Äußerer Frankenring and Pferdsfelder Weg.
Alternatively, you can reach us from the railway station by taxi in just a few minutes.
